Sunday Aug 1 2010 was the first day of our Vacation. We had to get up early. So we thought, but jumped the gun a bit. We got on the road to Victoria for our very first Vacation together. This was the very first time we went somewhere with all six of us. Everyone was excited! We hit the road at 9:30am and got to Victoria at 11:00. The Whale Watching tour wasnt starting till 12:30 so we had a hour and a half to kill. The person at the counter of the hotel told us that we could see otters and other sea creaters at the warf so we started to make our way there(plus there was food down there)
Here we are eating poutine with a really weird garlic gravy. It was ok, but I dont think I would buy it again.
We also walked around and looked at the boat houses. There was a few of them that was for sale for $300-$400 thousand dollars. If we werent going to buy the house we for sure would be looking at one of these guys for a summer home, and a rental property. There was a mini ferry boat tour also down at the warf. The twins probally would have gotten bored half way through it so we decided not to go on it. So we sat there and enjoyed lunch and the view. The twins started to get a bit bored so we figured we better make our way back to the hotel for the whale watching tour. One of the buses was running a bit late so our departure was moved to 1:00pm. The kids occupied them selfs with making paper air planes out of brouchers and annoying one another(like they always do). Ethan was very grumpy this morning and was ready for a nap. As we were waiting for the tour bus he actually fell asleep in annas arms.

Shortly after he fell asleep we started the tour. It took us about a half hour to get to where the whales were, but it really was truly amazing. We went to a few different spots to see the whales, but we got to see a few breaches and a spy hop. Ethan woke up half way through the tour, but Erik fell asleep at the end of the tour. There is many more pictures in our photo gallery of all the whales and our whole trip. It was about a 10-11 hour day for us and The kids were so great through out the whole trip. I was so glad we decided to go on the tour. And if anyone is in Victoria I do suggest you going on a tour with Orca Spirit Adventures.
If you don't have access to the photos, give us a call and we will set you up a username and password.
